gtFtr

I've been a little lax over the holidays. What with some unexpected work related travel and the general season of goodwill and all that I've not been paying as much attention here as I should be and a couple of users have made some suggestions I needed to catch up on.

The changes rolled out tonight are mostly things that are not directly visible but for instance the parser has been tweaked to make it a little more robust (be gentle with it... check before you send because it's still a little temperamental!) and there are a few new parameters.

I've also added a To-Do list to give you an idea of some of the aspirations I have for the project. Some of them are quite likely to happen, and hopefully in short order. Others are more pie-in-the-sky either because my l33t c0d!ng sk!llz are a thing of the past or I just don't have the hours in the day to see them through.... so always looking for someone to adopt this project and make it fly ;)

After a weekend of feverish activity gtFtr is finally ready to poke it's nose out into public.

It is new, it's very un-stable with minimal testing (after all, the code was started on Friday evening and posted live on Sunday night). The blog hasn't been skinned, there are probably typos all over the place and it'll all break as soon as I turn my back... (but I can dream)

Have a look, send us a message, please give us lots of feedback. You may find that it doesn't react to Twits as quickly as I'd like at the moment... the polling mechansim though functional does need a little love and attention... but it'll get better ;)

Oh and for those who care... it's writting in ASP.NET, talks to a SQL 2005 database and uses Silverlight for the display
